‘PRECISION THUNDER’

Are you exhilarated by fast cars, boats, planes and motorcycles? Are you drawn to exhibits of skill and challenge? If so, then you won’t want to miss the performances of ‘PRECISION THUNDER’ Drill Team!

Sponsored by Phil Peterson’s Harley-Davidson of Miami, these men and women will provide you with a breathtaking, well choreographed performance filled with tight turns, quick directional changes and precise close maneuvers.

Established in 1992, ‘PRECISION THUNDER’ is dedicated to the premise that proper riding skills produce safer riders. Team members are men and women from all walks of life who simply love to ride! The motorcycles used are their own personal bikes and each member is responsible for their own maintenance, upkeep and transportation. Team members also donate their time monthly by providing free skill and safety classes to fellow Miami Chapter HOG motorcycle riders.

‘PRECISION THUNDER’ Drill Team has performed in numerous local, state and national events including the Miami Motorcycle Show, Wings Over Miami Air and Motorcycle Show, the Orange Bowl Parade, as well as the Florida State Rally, the Florida Dealers Rally and the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota. Recent performances include the Leesburg Rally, the Alabama State Rally and the South Carolina State Rally where the team performed in 2005 and 2006. This year holds more ‘shows’ for the team. PHIL PETERSON'S INDEPENDENT MOTORCYCLE SKILL TEAM

 Independent drillteam

We are a fun loving group of Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiasts who enjoy improving our riding skills beyond the average rider.  We also enjoy showing off our skills by performing as a group, precision maneuvers designed to entertain and thrill spectators.  Most of the riders currently operate the large touring models but any model of bike is welcome as long as it is a Harley Davidson.  Our Team currently has 4 active female riders.  We have very diversified backgrounds and careers covering all walks of life.  Some of our members have been performing together for over ten years.  We have 2 married couples that perform on the team.

Over the years, members of the group have performed at various functions, including the Orange Bowl Parade and the Sturgis Motorcycle/Black Hills Rally.  We also provide entertainment and support for charitable organizations and community events such as Women in Distress; The March of Dimes Walkathon; retail grand openings; the Hollywood St. Patrick's Day Parade; The West Palm Beach Chili Cook-Off; Collier County Bike Fair and Show; and the North Miami Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Our performances are also applauded at Florida State Harley Owner's Group Rallies, the Florida Harley-Davidson Dealers Appreciation Rally, and other motorcycle events throughout the state.

Our goals are to promote and demonstrate advanced safe motorcycling techniques while providing a unique form of entertainment that is not readily available to the general public.  Our performances are an exciting way for us to increase interest in the sport of motorcycling and group precision riding.

Orlando Harley-Davidsons

Precision Motorcycle Drill Team

Hear the thunder and feel the rumble as Orlando Harley-Davidson’s Precision Drill Team, rocks, rolls, and rumbles through downtown Leesburg.   Organized by Orlando Harley-Davidson Rider Education, the OHD Precision Drill Team features dedicated men and women with a passion for riding.  These skilled riders have a combined riding experience older than Harley-Davidson itself and have introduced thousands of new riders to the sport of motorcycling.

Watch as they make difficult maneuvering look easy and don’t miss their salute to the second century of Harley Thunder. Our Drill Team was formed in order to promote Rider Safety while helping to increase community awareness of motorcycling. The OHD Precision Drill Team has performed at events such as BikeWeek, the Leesburg Bikefest, parades and competed at the World Drill Team Finals in Nashville, Tennessee.
